SmarterArtificial Bot
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026 · Applies to the "SmarterArtificial Bot" application
This Privacy Policy explains how SmarterArtificial ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you interact with the SmarterArtificial Bot (the "Bot") through messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Microsoft Teams or Telegram.
Private beta. The Bot is currently in a closed, non-public testing phase and is available to invited testers only. Functionality and data handling may change during this period.
1. Our approach: your data stays with you
SmarterArtificial builds privacy-first personal AI. The Bot is designed so that the primary, canonical copy of your conversations and personal context is stored locally on a device operated by the person or organisation who set it up (the "host"). We do not operate a central service that collects and keeps your conversation history for our own purposes.
Your messages travel through third-party platforms (for example Meta / WhatsApp) and are processed by the services described below only to the extent needed to deliver a reply to you.
2. Information we process
Depending on the channel you use, the following information may be processed:
Platform profile information provided to us by the messaging platform — for example your display name and a platform identifier such as your WhatsApp phone number or Messenger user ID.
Message content you send to the Bot, including text and, where you provide it, transcribed audio.
Technical routing data such as timestamps and message identifiers needed to deliver and match messages.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not send sensitive information you would not want processed.
3. How we use information
To receive your messages and generate and return responses.
To maintain your personal memory and context on the host device so the assistant is useful across a conversation.
To provide transcription where you use audio features.
To operate, secure, debug and improve the service during the beta.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract or your request to provide the service; your consent, which you may withdraw at any time; and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service.
5. Facebook / Meta platform
SmarterArtificial Bot is registered as an application on the Meta platform. When you message the Bot via WhatsApp or Messenger, Meta transmits your message and limited profile information to us so we can reply. Meta processes your data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not use Meta platform data for advertising and we do not sell it.
6. Where data is stored and who processes it
The canonical copy of your data is stored on the host device. To deliver the service, message content and related data may be processed by the following categories of providers, each acting under its own terms:
Messaging platforms that transport your messages (e.g. Meta Platforms for WhatsApp and Messenger; Microsoft for Teams; Telegram).
AI model provider (Anthropic) which processes message content to generate the assistant's responses.
Hosting and connectivity providers used to route messages between platforms and the host device.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers above to operate the service, or where required by law.
8. Retention and deletion
On-device data is retained under the control of the host and may be deleted by them. You can ask us to delete data associated with your use of the Bot at any time — see our User Data Deletion page.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Slovak Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky).
10. Children
The messaging platforms we use set their own minimum-age requirements (for example, WhatsApp requires users to meet a minimum age set in their region). Where the Bot is deployed in a family, school or supervised setting, the host / operator is responsible for obtaining any consent required, including parental consent, before children interact with it.
11. International transfers
Some providers, including the AI model provider, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. The local-first design reduces how much data is exposed to third parties. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will change the date above when we do, and material changes will be made available on this page.
14. Contact
